Free COVID-19 PCR Kiosks Appear Throughout Georgia

ATLANTA – Georgia’s Ministry of Public Health is launching kiosks supplying loose COVID-19 PCR tests and effects in about two days.

The Health Department said Wednesday that kiosks will be available 24/7 at a maximum of locations. There is a short registration to complete online or at the kiosk.

Patients get a confirmation code when registering online or at the kiosk. By scanning this code, verification kits will be distributed that come with a nasal swab and instructions.

Once the pattern is sorted and repackaged, patients drop it off at the kiosk to be picked up and transported to a lab for analysis.

Kiosk users will receive an email or SMS within 48 hours with the results of their verification.

“Covid-19 testing is one of many preventive measures, along with vaccination and booster doses, masking and physical distancing, that protect you and others by reducing the chances of spreading COVID-19. said a member of the Georgia DPH.

The DPH posted a video on how to use the kits and said there would be a map with the locations on the state department’s fitness department website.
