From August 19 to 20, the Ohio National Guard organized an emerging COVID-19 control site in Avon Lake. During those 48 hours, 1,129 checks were held. Officials showed 31 new instances of COVID-19 at the event, adding 15 from Lorain. County and five of Avon Lake residents.
