France reports that coVID-19 cases build up slower

PARIS (Reuters) – The French fitness government reported 725 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday, below the average of 924 during the following week, but is unlikely to dispel fears of a momentary wave.

In a statement, the government said “viral flow still holds in France,” noting that the reproduction rate is solid at 1.3.

A reproductive rate, or “R,” of 1.3 means that another hundred people inflamed with the virus infect an average of 130 other people. A rate of less than 1 is mandatory to involve the disease.

The number of other people hospitalized with COVID-19 decreased from 104 to 5551, following a downward trend of two months.
