PARIS (Reuters) – On Friday 7379 new cases of coronavirus, the highest number since its lockout arose, and below the record of 7578 set on March 31 at the peak of its initial wave.
Metropolitan France is now experiencing an “exponential build-up in the transmission of the virus,” the Ministry of Fitness said in a weekly assessment of the coronavirus situation.
The total number of cases showed more than 267,077, while the cumulative number of deaths per COVID-19 increased from 20 to 30,596, the Ministry of Health reported.
Despite the immediate increase in infection rate, the number of hospitals remained stable, as the virus spreads basically among other young people with few symptoms, the ministry said.
The cumulative number of deaths increased from 20 to 30596, while the number of other people hospitalized with COVID-19 unchanged in 4535 and the number of others in extensive care increased from six to 387.
