France reports 7071 new COVID-19 infections

PARIS – The French fitness government reported on Sunday 7,071 new cases of coronavirus, up from 8,550 on Saturday and also below Friday’s peak of 8,975.

Friday’s figure set a new all-time high of more infections for the country.The number of others hospitalized for the disease in the last seven days has reached 1,704, adding 288 in intensive care units.

The number of other people who died in France by COVID-19 has increased from 3 to 30,701, and the cumulative number of cases is now 324,777.

France will have to remain vigilant, as more people will be hospitalized in extensive care sets over the next two weeks, reflecting an increase in COVID-19 infections in recent days, Health Minister Olivier Veran said Saturday.(Report via Dominique Vidalon).
