PARIS (Reuters) – France reported 3,376 new cases of COVID-19 in more than 3 days, the country’s fitness branch said on Monday as the number of other people treated in the ICU for the disease increased.
The seven-day moving average of new instances remained above the 1,000 threshold for the fifth day in a row, the country is experiencing degrees that have not been noticed since a two-month crash. The total number of cases in France now stands at 191,295.
The average of 1,125 instances since early August is twice the figure of 435 in June and one-third higher than that of July 746.
Earlier monday, French Prime Minister Jean Castex suggested to others not to let their guard down in the fight opposite COVID-19. Lille, one of France’s largest cities, has ordered others to wear an outdoor mask on busy pedestrian streets.
The number of other people in extensive care sets for COVID-19 stood at 384 on Monday, up from 371 on Friday, the time in a week when this figure is highest after a 16-week drop.
Hospitalizations decreased from one hundred to 5,198, following a 10-week trend and suggesting that the recent increase in cases did not result in a new strain on the health care formula at this stage.
The French fitness government reported 29 more deaths due to the disease, bringing the total to 30,294.
