PARIS (Reuters) – New COVID-19 infections in France increased to more than 1,600 in 24 hours by the time of a consecutive day on Thursday, which puts the country in degrees not noticed since last May, while the number of patients affected greatly also climbed the care sets.
In 1,604, the number of new instances is less than Wednesday’s 1,695, but is not yet far from the May 30 figure of 1,828 instances. The total number of cases reached 195,633.
The seven-day moving average for new cases, lately 1351, has increased each day one in the last 11 days, expanding by almost 50% during this period.
The figure of 1351 is five times higher than the minimum of 272 observed on 27 May, but also more than 3 times less than a maximum of 4537 on 1 April.
Despite the outbreak of new cases, the number of others hospitalized for the disease continued to decline, from 88 to 5,060, spreading a 10-week trend.
However, the number of other people in the ICU increased from six to 390, reaching a maximum of 10 days.
The French fitness government reported seven more deaths from the disease, bringing the total to 30,312, the seventh in the world.
