France: new COVID-19 instances above 1600 per consecutive day

PARIS, August 6 (Reuters) – France reported 1,604 new COVID-19 infections for 24 hours, and the total remained above the 1,600 threshold for the time being on a consecutive day, Thursday showed knowledge of the ministry of fitness.

In a statement, the ministry also said that the number of patients in extensive care sets for the disease increased again to 390 from 384 on Wednesday. (Report through Benoit Van Overstraeten; edited through Franklin Paul)
