PANAMA CITY BEACH — A driving force suspected of being involved in a hit-and-run turn of fate that seriously injured the 4 men in a golf cart early Wednesday morning arrested about an hour later, police said.
The golf cart crashed shortly after 2 a. m. Wednesday, which took him off the road and overturned in the 13000 block of Front Beach Road, near Fernwood Street.
Police arrested Harold Franklin Smith III, 33, of Columbus, Mississippi, at a beachfront home where he was discovered just over an hour later, tilting the steering wheel of his moving vehicle, according to reports from the Panama City Beach Police Department.
