Former kickboxer Andrew Tate and his brother have been arrested in Romania following an investigation into allegations of human trafficking, media reported Friday.
Tate and his brother, Tristian, who have been under investigation by criminals since April, and two other suspects are being held for 24 hours.
“The 4 Array-suspects. . . They appear to have created an organized criminal organization with the aim of recruiting, harboring and exploiting women by forcing them to create pornographic content for viewing on specialized programs in exchange for a fee,” prosecutors from the anti-organized organization said. the thieves unit said in a statement.
Investigators knew of six alleged victims who had been sexually exploited through the group, the control said.
A spokesman for Tate told the Daily Mirror: “We cannot provide any main points at this time relating to allegations that they have been detained; however, Andrew and Tristan Tate have the utmost respect for the Romanian government and will provide assistance and assistance in any way they can. “
Authorities used Tate’s social media post ridiculing a Romanian pizza chain, Jerry’s Pizza, to verify he was in the country.
This came after climate activist Greta Thunberg responded to a tweet from Tate, in which she boasted about her collection.
Reacting to the report on Tate’s arrest, Thunberg wrote on Twitter: “This is what happens when you don’t recycle your pizza boxes. “
Tate, a debatable online influencer, has been banned from several social media platforms for expressing excessive views, adding that he has some duty for sexual assault.
