Former Brazilian President Bolsonaro’s House Raided for Fake COVID Records

Brazilian police raided the home of former President Jair Bolsonaro for allegedly falsifying COVID-19 vaccination data.

On Wednesday, Brazilian federal police raided Bolsonaro’s home in the capital, Brasilia. They arrested six of his former collaborators for their alleged involvement in the forgery.

The former president denied any in the alleged falsification of documents.

Police suspect the former president falsified vaccines at the country’s Public Health Ministry between November 2021 and December last year to falsify vaccination certificates.

Local media reported that vaccination records were falsified some time before Bolsonaro traveled to the United States with his circle of relatives in December.

The former president reportedly told the media that he had never been vaccinated against COVID and had never falsified vaccine certificates.

Bolsonaro is also being investigated over allegations that he incited attacks on parliament and other buildings in January, as well as his alleged attempts to appropriate jewelry gifts he earned from Saudi Arabia while in office.
