The number of foreign arrivals to Japan in July topped 100,000 for the fourth straight month after COVID-19 border measures were relaxed in a bid to shore up the economy’s weak economy, according to official data released Wednesday.
The number of foreign arrivals, which stood at 144,500 last month, 2. 8 times more than in July 2021, but represented a 95. 2% drop from the same month of the year before the 2019 pandemic, according to Japan’s National Tourism Organization.
