Foreign currency surpasses $384 million purchases in Belarus in January-September

MINSK, October 7 (BelTA) – From January to September 2022, Belarusians sold $384 million more in foreign currency than they bought, BelTA learned from statistics through the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).

From January to September 2022, Americans bought the equivalent of $7. 18 billion in cash and no money and sold $7. 564 billion in foreign currency. Net foreign exchange demand $114. 1 million in September.

According to the knowledge of the National Bank, Belarusian economic entities bought 1005 million dollars more in foreign currency than they sold between January and September. Legal entities in Belarus bought $20. 139 billion in foreign currency and sold $19. 134 billion in foreign currency between January and September 2022.

In September 2022, purchases of legal entities exceeded sales by $780. 4 million.
