LAC BACKGROUND – The LakeWater County Department of Health has reported 605 additional COVID-19 tests since Monday, according to its Community Impact Scoreboard.
John McCrary, 78, a resident of North Fond du Lac, died Wednesday of COVID-19-related death in the county.
McCrary served 20 years in the U. S. Army, four tours in Vietnam, according to his nephew Shawn McCrary in a Facebook post after his death.
The total number of positive cases in the county is now 5988 at 2 p. m. Friday update, compared to 5383 on Monday afternoon. There are 1,706 active cases in the county, and 38 of those others are hospitalized.
To date, 4,255 more people have been released from isolation and 31,110 have been negative.
With the breakdown of age equipment on the board, citizens between the ages of 20 and 50 had a total of 1,000 instances; however, citizens between the age of 30 and 40 reported the maximum number of new instances this week, with 105 and 101 instances, respectively.

The Department of Health updated its breakdown of cases across the school district area on Tuesday, not counting families living outside the county boundaries.
Between 19 October and 1 November, citizens of all ages in the Fond du Lac school zone recorded the number of instances with 926, representing a rate of 1,742,5 instances consisting of 100,000 inhabitants.
By comparison, the North Fond du Lac School District has the highest case rate in the county with 2,279, consisting of 100,000 inhabitants. Because the population is much lower, this rate was derived from 190 new cases in these two weeks consistent with the period.
All school districts saw an increase during the 12-25 October era.
Wednesday’s breakdown of individual municipalities shows the highest case rates across the county, with 24 of the 33 municipalities reporting more than 10 new cases in the following two weeks.

The Bottom of the Lake Department of Health reminds county citizens to stay in the house if they feel unhealthy and socially leave with the right mask when they leave the house.
Free COVID-19 driving tests will be conducted from 11 a. m. 7 p. m. on Thursdays at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds.
Anyone who has symptoms of COVID-19 or who has been in close contact with an evaluator is advised.

Dodge County reported a total of 5458 instances on Friday afternoon, according to the daily COVID-19 snapshot, marking an increase of 1005 instances since October 30.
Community members account for 4,370 of the cases, of which 1,330 are active. The recovery among network members is 3,004 and the total number of deaths in the county is 38.
The county point is 109. 99 new instances consisting of 100,000 inhabitants, which places it in the red category of “Turning Point”.
According to Friday’s state figures, the county reported 29,809 negatives in total.
In addition to network members, the total number of instances in the county’s 3 correctional facilities: the Waupun correctional facility, the Dodge County correctional facility, and the Fox Lake correctional facility.
As of Friday afternoon, Waupun had 212 active instances among inmates out of a total of 678, Dodge Correctional Facility had 178 active instances of 429, and Fox Lake Correctional Facility had active instances of 46 instances overall.
