Dubai-based airline flydubai has announced its partnership with Aster DM Healthcare to offer passengers COVID-19 PCR testing at a special rate of AED 180 ($ 49) consistent with testing.

Flydubai passengers traveling from Dubai will be offered with tests at 28 Aster hospitals and clinics in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

Passengers must present a valid flydubai booking confirmation with their Emirates ID or a copy of their passport to qualify for the offer. Test effects are released after 48 hours and passengers wishing to verify the effects within 24 hours can do so at any branch of Aster Hospital in Dubai, branch of the Bur Dubai Aster Clinic or at any branch of the Aster clinic in Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah or Sharjah.

Hamad Obaidalla, advertising director of flydubai, said: “We have worked hard to give our passengers the confidence and peace of mind they want when they make maruca. In this new form of maruca, we recognize that the precautionary measures that are underway result in greater plans and preparation for passengers and related costs. This service, in partnership with Aster DM Healthcare, provides fast and effective testing at a reduced price. In addition to our onboard security measures and our recently launched global policy for COVID-19, passengers can be encouraged to know that at each and every level of their journey, these facilities will help more passengers fly again.

The service is valid for all bookings made through the flydubai website, mobile application, flydubai visitor center or travel shops, holidays through the flydubai portal, agents or one of the airline’s partners.

As a component of other efforts to build passenger confidence, the airline recently announced that it will offer consumers a flexible global policy for COVID-19 between September 1 and November 30.
