flydubai, the Dubai-based airline, announced the resumption of flights to Shymkent International Airport (CIT) from February 28 with a twice-weekly service. With the start of flights to Shymkent, flydubai is expanding its network in Kazakhstan to 3 destinations, adding Almaty and the capital, Astana.
The UAE and Kazakhstan have a long history of industry in which they cooperate in various economic sectors in addition to mining, agriculture, oil and gas and construction.
After Almaty and Astana, Shymkent is Kazakhstan’s third largest city and is a major cultural center boasting bustling bazaars, ancient architecture, and grassy landscapes.
flydubai is expanding its network in the Central Asia region to ten points, giving passengers from the UAE and the region more options. This includes Almaty, Ashgabat, Astana, Bishkek, Dushanbe, Namangan, Osh, Samarkand, Shymkent and Tashkent.
