WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Florida’s coronavirus daily cases record was obliterated Sunday with 15,300, nearly 4,000 more than the previous high and 24 percent of the U.S. total, as daily tests soared to 142,981 but new deaths subsided to 45, the Florida Department of Health announced.
The death toll in Palm Beach County rose from 12 to 606 after 8 every Friday and Saturday, and a record 20 on Tuesday.
The state record of instances set a week ago on Saturday with 11,458 instances. Saturday overall 10360, which the fourth time came to five digits. Overall Friday 11433 and Sunday last 10,059.
