Fitness ministers from the United Arab Emirates and Israel agree on fitness cooperation

DUBAI (Reuters) – The United Arab Emirates and Israel on Monday agreed on bilateral cooperation in the fitness sector following a country-to-country agreement to normalize relations 10 days ago, UAE WAM’s official news firm said.

Health ministers from both countries discussed cooperation in pharmaceuticals, medical studies and COVID-19 in a phone call. A member of the Israeli Ministry of Health added that they had agreed to “initial and rapid cooperation” in the fitness sector.

Israel and the UAE agreed to normalize diplomacy and forge a new general fad under a US-sponsored deal, making the UAE the third Arab country to have formal diplomacy with Israel after Egypt and Jordan.

The two countries will appoint representatives and establish industry delegations, Israel’s Ministry of Health said.

Countries will also work to create a student exchange program once the coronavirus allows the pandemic, he added.

Since the agreement, countries have signed some agreements on technologies to combat coronavirus. Several small-scale and defense collaborations were announced in the weeks leading up to the standardization agreement.
