After a very bloody start, our Election Day will have “warmer” peaks of around 60, with sunny skies. On Tuesday it will remain windy, with west winds of 10 to 15 mph.

Highs will rise until the mid-1960s on Wednesday and the 1970s lows to finish paint week. We’ll see this week’s maximum sun with a few more clouds forming between now and Friday.

Chances of rain will remain low until the end of the week and over the next week.

Tropical Update:

Eta is moving toward the west-southwest near 7 mph, and that general movement is expected to continue early Tuesday. The slower movement to the west or west-northwest is expected to begin Tuesday afternoon and continue through Thursday. Central Eta is forecast to make landfall along the Nicaraguan coast in the hurricane caution zone early Tuesday. The center of Eta is expected to move further inland into northern Nicaragua through Wednesday night, and then move to central parts of Honduras on Thursday. Reports from Hurricane Hunter aircraft imply that maximum sustained winds are near 1,500 mph with stronger gusts. Eta is a category four hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale. Some strengthening is expected over the next 12 hours, and Eta could be a category five hurricane before it makes landfall. The weakening will begin after the cyclone moves inland. An Air Reserve hurricane fighter is investigating the Eta lately and will provide more information tonight. Hurricane force winds expand outward to 2 five miles from the middle and tropical typhoon force winds increase outward to 12 five miles.
