First Oman satellite put into orbit

Satellite integration is a major milestone in achieving the objectives of Oman’s first mission.

Newquay, Cornwall, United Kingdom: On Tuesday, October 4, Oman’s first satellite, Aman, was effectively ready to be launched into low-Earth orbit in Newquay, Cornwall, United Kingdom.

Integrated into a launcher, the LauncherOne rocket, the satellite will start its adventure later this year. The integration of the satellites is a critical step in achieving the objectives of Oman’s first mission.

The Sultanate of Oman represented through ETCO, an emerging generation innovator founded in Oman; Virgin Orbit, a primary satellite launch company founded in the United States; SatRev, a Polish manufacturer and operator of nanosatellites, and TUATARA, specialists in complex artificial intelligence, knowledge analysis and cognitive generation solutions, continue to work on the mission of the Oman area. The studies carried out led to the integration of Oman’s first CubeSat satellite, Aman, into the areacraft in a procedure carried out at Newquay Airport, Cornwall. Virgin Orbit’s integration team led the event, starting with a final cleanup and verification of the Omani satellite, making sure that the CubeSat’s Remove Before Flight (RBF) elements had been removed. Prepared the satellite, placed on the trigger, followed by a series of rigorous controls.

“The integration of the satellite marks a milestone in the plan to send Oman’s first spacecraft to the area this year. It is encouraging to see this project, the first of its kind in the country’s history, spread out and we look to the future to see it move. to a maximum level later this year when it launches into low-Earth orbit, said Abdulaziz Jaafar, executive director of ETCO.

“The integration went as planned and a success. All the dangers have already been minimized thanks to the Fit-Check occasion that took place last month, where the same Virgin Orbit integration team was present at SatRev’s headquarters in Poland to conduct a detailed briefing of all planned integration steps. – said Grzegorz Zwoliński, CEO of SatRev.

The allocation responds to Oman’s Vision 2040, a national programme to foster economic competitiveness and social welfare, encourage expansion and build acceptance in all economic, social and progress relationships. The Oman area program will enable innovative clinical studies and capture satellite image resolution, which will then be digitally analyzed using computer vision, device learning and synthetic intelligence responses developed through TUATARA in strategic partnership with ETCO.

The allocation of the Oman area aims to deliver lasting benefits and open new horizons for the next generation of global area explorers and innovators in the area sector, while making an investment in national skills that will build a brilliant long-term for Oman. value the country, the task will inspire and help Omani companies to boost their transformation into an economy related to the area.
