CHER SUN SPOTS: I got inspired by the September 15 Sun Spots about an instructor who didn’t get her unemployment budget and I was forced to write about my problem.
Our tax returns were sent electronically through our preparer on February 22. Now it’s September 15th and so far our check hasn’t arrived. On April 29, I emailed Senator King about the challenge and a week later he responded by referring to his Maine offices, none of which are near me. I didn’t touch them because I didn’t think they could help me in federal matters.
I’ve been on the IRS online page several times and all it tells me is that “it’s still being processed. “They also specify on the site that they are not called. In fact, we can use that cash. I know it’s a busy and confusing time because of all the coVID disorders, however, the IRS has controlled to send stimulus checks, so why can’t they send us the cash they owe us?
I’m tempted to call them anyway, I hesitated because of the instructions on the website. Diana, Poland

I’d like to remind your readers of the symptoms they should observe. They claim to be a struggling grandson (i. e. in jail) and want bail. You are asked to send only coins or gift cards with coins. They say, “Don’t tell anyone. ” My mom had been saving for a long time to remake the roof of her house, now she has to skimp and scrape even more of her Social Security check to start saving again. – Nameless, no city
