Secretary of State Antony Blinken and FBI Director Christopher Wray missed the House deadline to file documents and answer questions about the origins of COVID-19.
House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) and Rep. Brad Wenstrup (R-OH), chairman of the COVID-19 Pandemic Select Subcommittee, sent a letter to Blinken and Wray in February responding to the Chinese Communist Party’s responses. Alleged cover-up of the origins of the virus.

Officials gave the agencies thirteen March to answer questions and submit requested documents.
“The origins of the disease that claimed the lives of more than six million people are still unknown,” Comer and Wenstrup said in the letter. “Uncovering the origin of COVID-19 is important to U. S. national security. prevent pandemics in the long term, and it will provide an appearance of closure to the families of those who have lost loved ones during the pandemic. Their documents and testimony are essential to tell the Committee what the U. S. government is doing with the United States. The U. A spokesman for the subcommittee showed the Washington Examiner that they had won the documents at the time of publication.
“We have won any documents at this time, however, we are in communication with the agencies about the presidents’ request and expect them to be respected,” the spokesperson said.
A State Department spokesperson told Punchbowl News that management had its resources to “find out what happened” and share the findings with the public.
“President Biden has asked each and every detail of our intelligence network to waste efforts and resources to uncover the origins of COVID-19,” the spokesperson said.

The FBI did not comment on the documents, but Wray said the FBI believes the virus “most likely” originated from a lab leak in Wuhan, China. The Energy Department agreed that the lab leak likely caused the virus, but said so. for reasons other than FBI. La CIA has not yet published its findings.
