”False! Trump complains about Fauci’s testimony on COVID rise

President Donald Trump, Saturday afternoon, continued an attack on the country’s top infectious specialist, Dr. Anthony Fauci, in reaction to the doctor’s grim testimony as to why the United States has not involved outbreaks of viruses.

The president retwed a CBS News video that Fauci attests to before Congress this week about spikes in coronavirus cases. Trump accompanied the video with the words “Wrong!”

In the clip, Fauci, compared to the way the United States closed relatively less than some European countries, said that in some parts of Europe “they did it in about 95% more in the country.”

Fauci said that while the United States temporarily shut down parts of the economy to curb the spread of coronavirus, “we have functionally stopped about 50% towards the entire country.”

Fauci’s testimony argues that the reluctance to close the additional country had a lasting effect and that when the country reopened, it was more vulnerable to accumulation in cases.

In reaction to the video, Trump introduced a colloquial complaint that “if less, there would be fewer cases.”

But this argument has been challenged by many of the president’s fitness experts.

At the House hearing Friday, Undersecretary of Health and Social Services, Admiral Brett Giroir, failed to test for the growing number of cases.

Instead, Giroir described the evidence as a “announcing the emergence of nearby epidemics” and “informing resource allocation.” He added that the tests “help minimize economic and social disruption.”

Trump’s attack on Fauci follows a complaint earlier this week that Fauci had a higher approval rating than he did.

“He has this top approval score, so why don’t I have a superior approval score and handling score related to the virus?” Trump is thinking out loud.
