The statement: Make America Great Again hats are made in China
Throughout his presidency, Trump has maintained a strong public position on China, adding the status quo of significant price lists in the country’s imports, and his complaint has intensified in the wake of the outbreak of the new Coronavirus pandemic, originating in Wuhan.
China’s dependence has a hot topic for both sides and on social media. While the parties’ conventions began in August, claims that Trump’s “Make America Great Again” hats are made in China began circulating on Facebook.
One post, the Facebook page “Trump Sucks,” has a montage of 4 photos: Kimberly Guilfoyle, Donald Trump Jr. ‘s friend and Trump campaign member, a text symbol that reads, “China,” a photo of a MAGA hat is under Guilfoyle, and next to it is a text that says “Made in China. “

Claims that MAGA hats are manufactured in China began circulating when Trump boycotted Goodyear after the tire manufacturer announced his zero tolerance policy for clothing.
Are MAGA hats manufactured in China?
Questions about the trump campaign’s symbolic red hats began, and debuted, in 2015, complaints circulated last year and have uncovered a new momentum as the country approaches Election Day.
In 2016, a closer look at the hats through The Associated Press revealed that some involved the fabric that the manufacturer says is still in use.
Brian Kennedy, president of Cali Fame in Los Angeles, the company that makes official hats, did not make a discrepancy, but said that “almost everything” fabrics came here from the United States.
In 2019, Kennedy told AP that hats were made in Carson, California.
USA TODAY contacted Trump’s crusade to comment on the merchandise, but according to Trump’s official derivatives website, the crusades are “proudly made in the United States. “
Although “made in China” labels are found in some Trump products, those parts are not official crusade products, they come from outdoor suppliers.
A WCIV report on a Trump rally in Charleston, South Carolina, in March illustrated the distinction: sellers at Trump rallies sell products, but most of those pieces are manufactured outdoors in the United States in countries like China, Honduras, and Haiti.

The statement in the message pointed to FALSE. The official products of Trump’s crusade are made in the United States, which the online page explicitly states. However, there is a market for unofficial Trump products made in other countries and sold online and at rallies.
