An internal memorandum leaked through a former Facebook worker revealed accusations that the company ignored or detract from outdoor election interference campaigns in the United States and Europe, letting young workers make decisions that may affect the fate of nations.

Sophie Zhang, a recently fired knowledge scientist on the Facebook site’s integrity team, wrote the internal memorandum of 6600 words after refusing to speak with a $64,000 compensation settlement, Buzzfeed reported Monday.

In the memo, he described networks of fake accounts that gave the impression of being used to meddle in the politics of Euador, Azerbaijan, Brazil and elsewhere, but which were relegated to a low level of precedence through Facebook.

And she says she has “bloodstained hands” after protests and deaths in countries where she has been forced to forget misinformation.

Facebook did not promptly respond to a request for comment from DailyMail. com on Tuesday, but told Buzzfeed in one that the company was thoroughly looking at each and every issue.
