Extended for the New Mexico Green Pepper Contest

LAS CRUCES – Do you still have to percentage of your green chili recipe?The New Mexico Department of Agriculture has extended the deadline for Elevate NM Green Chile competition.

The deadline, September 1, has been extended until Friday, September 4 at five o’clock in the afternoon, and the winners will be announced on September 9.

The contest is from the Elevate NM Green Chile crusade, a social media crusade through NMDA to showcase the region’s agricultural traditions, creativity in cooking and the diversity of green peppers.
