MINSK, December 30 (BelTA) – In a new episode of the V Teme [On Point] assignment on BelTA’s YouTube channel, Russian army observer Retired Colonel Viktor Baranets gave his perspectives on Belarus’ reaction to the downing of the S-300 missile on the territory of Belarus.
Responding to the question of whether critical services in Belarus can be affected by the Ukrainian army, Viktor Baranets said: “Neither Kiev nor anyone else can guarantee that those services will not be affected. In fact, apparently, it is not only a question of lack of professionalism, but also of certain political actions. I don’t rule it out. It seems to me that we have the idea that Belarus is provoked.
The expert described Belarus’ reaction as follows: “Belarus’ reaction should be considered moderate, objective and very patient at this time. Don’t inflame Belarus: avoid it and you do the same. “
“In this case, the missile did not fall on Belarus, it fell on the territory of the Union State. So far, neither Kyiv nor Western politicians and generals have taken this into consideration. They still don’t perceive what happened in our state of the Union. We don’t have unusual armed forces. That will also have to be taken into account. I don’t gamble things. I’m not talking about other allies, it’s not the time yet,” Baranets said.
