European tourists increase by 800% in Oman

Dubai: Oman recorded a phenomenal 809% expansion in the number of European tourists in May, media reported.

According to data released on Saturday by the National Center for Statistics and Information, the number of visitors to the hotel increased to 46. 2% while the occupancy rate reached 23. 3% in May 2022.

European tourists accounted for the lion’s share of the total number of visitors, where more than 176,591 visitors booked at Oman hotels last May, according to the NCSI.

Revenue from 3- to 5-star hotels in Oman recorded a notable increase of 129% at the end of May, reaching RO 73. 5 million.
