Romania and Bulgaria are “more than ready” to enroll in Schengen. These are the conclusions of the research project for both countries, organised through the European Comproject, which also included experts from Comproject and EU Member States. A spokesman for the European Committee said today that the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU will now take the factor forward.

All Member States declared the enormous progress made through Bulgaria and Romania in the strict implementation of the Schengen rules. From now on, the Czech Presidency will move quickly,” the EC spokeswoman said.
