EU imposes stainless metals import tasks from China, Indonesia and Taiwan

BRUSSELS (Reuters) – The European Union will impose price lists on imports of hot-laminated coils and stainless metal sheets from China, Indonesia and Taiwan after an investigation revealed that they were sold at artificially low prices.

The European Commission, which conducted the investigation, has established price lists of up to 19% for imports from China, 17. 3% for Indonesian products and up to 7. 5% for Taiwan stainless steel, the official EU newspaper announced wednesday.

The Commission said that anti-dumping duties, which will enter into force on Thursday, aim to remedy injury to EU manufacturers located mainly in Belgium, Italy and Finland.
