England’s Senegal contenders are under investigation for violating FIFA World Cup rules ahead of the clash with Ecuador.

Senegal is under investigation for breaking FIFA rules ahead of their World Cup victory over Ecuador.

Aliou Cissé’s side won against England on Sunday after beating the South Americans 2-1 in their last match.

But they themselves are in trouble with football’s governing framework after their pre-match conduct.

It’s about coach Cissé attending his pre-match press conference WITHOUT a member of his team.

FIFA rules stipulate that on the eve of a match, each team must lead a journalist in one of the two press conference rooms in the main press centre.

The head coach of the team must be present, as well as a player from his team.

Before his first two matches, Senegalese coach Cissé attended press meetings with Krepin Diatta and Kalidou Koulibaly, respectively.

But before the meeting with Ecuador, he arrived alone, defying FIFA rules.

And FIFA showed later on Wednesday that it would investigate the case.

A said: “The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has opened proceedings against the Senegalese Football Federation for possible violations of Article 44 of the Qatar 2022 ™ FIFA World Cup Regulations, Article 2. 7. 2 of the Media and Marketing Regulations and Article 8. 5. 3 of the Team Manual.

“The violations are similar to the mandatory press conference that took place on November 28 before the FIFA World Cup match between Ecuador and Senegal. “

Senegal is now expected to be fined after Germany hit with an £8,800 fine for the same infringement ahead of its draw with Spain.

German head coach Hansi Flick said he did not bring any players to the press conference because his team is in northern Qatar.

And he didn’t need to force a person to make the three-hour circular to the media library the day before his massive game.

Germany has been hit with the biggest monetary penalty imaginable through FIFA, so the maximum Senegal can get is the same as Flick’s.
