Embassy: Belarus and Uzbekistan cooperate strongly in industry

MINSK, Oct 19 (BelTA) – Belarus and Uzbekistan are cooperating strongly in the foodArray Kamoliddin Khasanov, counselor for publicity and economic affairs of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Belarus, told the media ahead of an industry event organized through the food group Belgospishcheprom, BelTA learned.

According to Kamoliddin Khasanov, Uzbekistan and Belarus have very close relations in the food industry and food safety. “Cooperation in terms of food industry and food products has evolved considerably. Uzbekistan exports new products, nuts, etc. to Belarus,” Kamoliddin Khasanov said.

“Today we visited the Minsk sparkling wine factory. The company also has relations with Uzbekistan. It buys wine fabrics from Uzbekistan for further processing and production of finished wines. Cooperation in this sector is also progressing. I think there is room for another growth, big strides are being made on both sides,” he said.

Belarusian meat and dairy products are popular in Uzbekistan, he said. “The confectionery business has grown very rapidly. Uzbekistan received many delegations of Belarusian manufacturers last year and this year. ” Kamoliddin Khasanov said.
