ST. CHARLES COUNTY, MO (KMOV) – An election ruling was passed down on a manager who tested positive for COVID-19 in St. John’s County. John.
The St. John’s County Department of Public HealthCharles and the St. Charles County Election Authority said the ruling issued tested positive for COVID-19 on October 30 at a usage lab. The user requested self-quarantine for 14 days, but did not, and instead worked at the Voting Site of District 41 of Blanchette Park Memorial Hall County on Election Day.
According to officials, the individual had COVID-19, the cause of death was not given.
The Ministry of Public Health contacted on-site election staff who are recently running with a circle of relatives to the worker’s location before the positive outcome of the control. The other nine staff members at the polling place are requested to be checked for COVID-19.
The government stated that they did not anticipate that the employee’s close contact would come with any of the 1858 electorates who were on the site on Election Day because the employee was a manager with responsibilities that did not come with running much with the electorate, handling iPads, distributing pencils, or carrying voter ID.
St. Charles County Election Director Kurt Bahr said all election staff must wear masks or face shields at all times, that Plexiglass barriers separate staff from voters, and that sanitation procedures are also carried out during the day.
Those who were in the complex should strongly monitor symptoms and touch the county COVID hotline at 636-949-1899 to ask questions.
