Preliminary production for the 3rd quarter and 2020
Gold production in Kisladag increased by 66% compared to the third quarter of 2019 and was in line with the second quarter of 2020. Gold recoveries continue to be as expected and solution grades are accumulating during the summer due to the drier climate. Production by 2020 remains slightly below expected. We expect solution inventories to stay above normal. We look forward to continuing to gain benefits from relief in the 2020 response inventory and 2021. Budgeted innovations are being made at the response processing plant to increase construction capacity and are expected to begin commissioning in the first quarter of 2021.
Lamaque recorded a record gold production in the third quarter of 2020. Production was higher than that of the third quarter of 2019 and the second quarter of 2020 due to an increase in the tons mined according to the day it was issued through the Revised certificate of authorization from the Quebec Ministry of the Environment. In addition, for the month of September, the underground progression changed to consistent with the ore grade in the most sensitive C4 zone, which had a positive effect on the ounces produced.
