El Paso coronavirus update: City reports 1020 new coronavirus cases, death toll rises to 661

El Paso County reported 1,020 new coronavirus cases and 4 deaths on Saturday.

The 4 patients had underlying fitness problems: the patient, a woman in her 30s, a 40-year-old woman, a 50-year-old man and a 40-year-old man, and the death toll is now 661.

Staff also informed the Ministry of Public Health of 232 additional cases that are part of the local effects delayed across the state.

Health officials said 35,551 more people have recovered and there are 24,562 active cases.

There were 61,104 positive cases. Knowledge shows that another 1,064 people are hospitalized, adding 315 in intensive care and 169 in fans; 50% of hospitalizations in El Paso County are similar to COVID-19.

Texas reports 942,359 and 18,589 deaths.

New Mexico has 52,394 instances and 1,088 deaths, adding 7,887 instances and one hundred deaths in Doa Ana County.

There are 15,761 and 1,433 deaths in Juarez.

The commander general of the 1st Armoured Division and Fort Bliss declared a public conditioning emergency on Friday of COVID-19.

“This allows the facility to better position The William Beaumont Army Medical Center to deal with the beneficiaries of the Department of Defense and the Veterans Administration,” reads in a fort bliss press release. “This measure is prudent given the significant accumulation of COVID -19 cases in the El Paso region. “

The declaration will last 30 days unless cancelled or extended.

The environmental branch of the city of El Paso temporarily closed two of its five citizen collection stations on Wednesday due to the pandemic, authorities said in a press release.

Citizen collection stations are deposits for more family waste, recyclable and bulky items. Sites that have closed are at 121 Atlantic Road in the west aspect and 2492 Harrison Ave. in Central. No appointments required. Checks are loose and can be obtained for anyone age five and older with or without symptoms. The effects of the test will be provided by email within two to 3 days.
