Eight more instances of COVID-19 to 3081

Eight more cases of coronavirus infection have a higher total number of COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka at 3081.

Of the most recent cases, six are newcomers from the Maldives, while one has returned from India.A sailor of Indian nationality is also among the last cases.

As a result, 32 new cases of COVID-19 infection have been reported on the day, with 22 returnees from Qatar and one from India and the United Arab Emirates testing positive on the previous day (01).

According to the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health, lately 190 active instances are under medical care in hospitals on the island.

Meanwhile, the number of cures in the country has increased to 2,879, with 11 patients discharged after a full recovery of the disease.

Sri Lanka has witnessed 12 deaths from the virus.
