Egypt began to vaccinate other people opposed to the novel Coronavirus, announced the country’s ministry of health on Sunday.
The country received its first prize for the SINOPHARM vaccine in China and the first doses were awarded to Fitness professionals in a quarantine hospital in the northeast of the province of Ismail, the ministry said in a statement.
Vaccines will first be administered to health professionals in quarantine hospitals and other hospitals where virus is detected, and then older patients, chronic patients and others, he said.
It added that they have the capacity to store 140 million doses of vaccine and will provide 100 million doses to the public.
Egypt has recorded more than 161,800 infections, more than 8,900 deaths, and more than 126,000 recoveries, to Johns Hopkins University in the United States.
