The Ministry of Civil Aviation participated on Friday in a consultation organized through the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) on the sidelines of COP27 regarding the ambitious global goal of foreign aviation achieving zero carbon emissions by 2050.
The ambitious purpose of net 0 should be accompanied by implementation mechanisms and provision of monetary resources through global donors, generation movement and training, said the Vice-Chair of ICAO’s Committee on Environment Protection and Aviation (CAEP), Abdel Ghaffar El Sayyed.
El Sayyed reviewed Egypt’s participation in the activation of the Supreme National Committee for Monitoring Carbon Emissions.
