Egypt has signed agreements and memoranda worth $119 billion in the renewable energy and green hydrogen picture, according to Maged Karam al-Din, technical director of the Regional Center for Renewable Energy.
In an interview with Sada El Balad TV, he noted that Egypt produces 6,000 megawatts of electricity from forced plants forced through renewable energy.
He highlighted the progress made at the 2022 UN climate update conference, COP27, in Sharm el-Sheikh, but said it is not enough as developed countries do not have to devote themselves to meeting their climate commitments.
He also referred to the delay in reaching an agreement on several climate issues in Sharm el-Sheikh.
