Egypt, China have close ties in fields: minister

Finance Minister Mohamed Maait on Sunday hailed Egypt-China ties as strong in the fields, especially in the economic fields, which have seen remarkable progress recently.

Addressing the MENA region on the sidelines of the launch of the Egyptian-Chinese Entrepreneurs Association, Maait said the volume of industry between Egypt and China reached $15 billion, noting that the top Egyptian exports to China are agricultural crops, semi-finished cash products and engineering industries. Such as meat, processed meat, dairy, seafood, toppage, and oils.

Egypt’s imports from China come with manufactured goods and trade inputs, he added.
