You will need to schedule an appointment to be checked for COVID-19. Scheduling an appointment is available seamlessly through your MyChart account. COVID-19 appointments are for patients who have symptoms of COVID-19 or who have someone who tests positive for COVID-19.

All patients will receive a bill for COVID-19ArrayIf you are insured, U of U Health will send the bill to your insurance provider. Contact your insurer for more information about COVID-19 coverage.
Uninsured patients will be charged $100 for COVID-19 testing. However, uninsured Americans may be eligible for Medicaid’s COVID-19 testing policy for medically mandated testing if they are U. S. citizens and Utah residents.
Financial assistance features may also be available to cover COVID-19 testing prices.
If your provider asks you to perform a COVID-19 check before a procedure at one of our hospitals or clinics, you will be charged for the checkup.

COVID-19 testing at U of U Health is for others who:
The COVID-19 test is 3 to five days after exposure.
Lately we review asymptomatic patients unless they have been exposed to a major threat or have an order from a U of U Health provider. This includes verification of “return to work” employment or any written check order through U of U Health service providers.
You will need to have an appointment to use our self-service kiosks. On the day of your appointment, you will have a PCR (saliva or nasal swab) check from a self-service kiosk. Saliva controls are preferred; However, you may opt for a nasal swab test if you have trouble producing enough saliva. We do not offer immediate controls.

On the day of your scheduled COVID-19 checkup appointment, you will come After you make an appointment to be checked at one of the clinics, When you come to one of our clinics to be checked for COVID-19, a member of our clinical team will give you a saliva control kit that you can fill out in your car, at home or any other convenient location of your choice. The kit will come with instructions on how to complete the control. You will return to full control at the same U of U Health location where you picked it up. Patients with reduced mobility or who are unable to produce saliva will be helped to take a test. If needed, we will offer nasal swabs for COVID-19 testing.

Your effects will be displayed on MyChart. U of U Health will also call you and inform you of your positive result.
If your check is positive, you’ll want to isolate yourself (physically separate) from other people, regardless of your vaccination status.

You will only receive a phone call if you test positive for COVID-19. If you test negative for COVID-19 but have symptoms, you may still want to quarantine or isolate yourself from others.
