EDISON – Edison reported seven new instances of COVID-19, bringing the total number of instances to 2,128, according to Edison’s Office of Emergency Management on September 13.
The age for new instances is 3 to 54 years. The municipality lost 239 inhabitants due to COVID-19, according to Middlesex County.
Talmadge Road at the Northeast Corridor Exercise Underpass will be closed due to application paints starting at five a. m. September 1st at five o’clock.
Traffic on Talmadge Road from Highway 27/Lincoln Highway will head to continue on Highway 27 south, right on Plainfield Avenue, then right on Brunswick Avenue.
Businesses located on or directly next to Talmadge Road between Highway 27/Lincoln Highway and the Underpass must have access to Talmadge Road on Highway 27/Lincoln Highway.
Businesses located on or directly next to Talmadge Road between Brunswick Avenue and the Underpass should reach Talmadge Road off New Durham Road, Brunswick Avenue and Ethel Road.
Detour symptoms and police will be available to help drivers.
The municipality announced the dates of the autumn 2020 cleaning day of regular recycling for recycling sections one and six Monday to 12 September, normal recycling day for recycling sections two and seven from Tuesday to 13 September, normal recycling day for recycling sections 3 and 8 from Wednesday to September 26 Fix the normal recycling day for recycling sections 4 and Thursday October 3 and the normal recycling day for recycling sections five and 10 from Friday to October 10.

Edison’s Main Public Library at 340 Plainfield Avenue reopened on July 13. Customers will have to wear masks. Governor Phil Murphy announced that public libraries can reopen on July 2 with a capacity of 25%.
The reopening of the North Branch Library at 777 Grove Ave. began on July 27 and clara Barton’s branch at 141 Hoover Ave. Hours vary on site.
There will be no seats or examination tables in the library. There will be no meetings or systems that are established at least on Labor Day. Mayor Thomas Lankey issued a decree before the reopening of the outdoor restaurants on June 15. The decree, which runs until 31 October, allows restaurants and food institutions up to 20% of their existing on-site parking to house food and beverage tables. The open-air meal schedule will be from 8 am to 9 pm and the canton reserves the right to review and revoke the approval of applications. Payment of the license application has been waived.
