EDISON – Edison has reported 10 new instances of COVID-19, bringing the total number of instances to 2282, according to Edison’s Office of Emergency Management on October 10.
The age for new instances is 11 to 56 years. The municipality lost one more resident to COVID-19, which raised the number of citizens lost to 241 citizens, according to Middlesex County.
Edison Water Service removed the notice of boiling water on October 7 after informing consumers to boil the water before E. Coli (Escherichia coli) at the water fountain on October 1.
Mayor Thomas Lankey, the City Council, and edison’s Department of Recreation have announced their 12th Annual Halloween Home Decor Contest for Municipality Residents. Operation Take Back sponsored through the Drug Control Administration in collaboration with the Edison Police Department will take place from 10 a. m. 2 p. m. 24 October for unused, unwanted or overdue medicines without a prescription or prescription. Edison’s Main Public Library at 340 Plainfield Avenue reopened on July 13. Customers will have to wear masks. Governor Phil Murphy announced that public libraries can reopen on July 2 with a capacity of 25%.
The reopening of the North Branch Library at 777 Grove Ave. began on July 27 and clara Barton’s branch at 141 Hoover Ave. Hours vary on site.
There will be no seats or test tables available in the library. There will be no meetings or systems on site at least on Labor Day. The Edison Public Library has introduced a COVID reminiscence project. Residents are invited to share their coronavirus reports through a questionnaire and photographs and videos documenting their reports. All submitted parts will be checked for library files. Lankey issued a decree before the reopening of the outdoor restaurants on June 15. The decree, which runs until 31 October, allows restaurants and food institutions up to 20% of their existing on-site parking to house food and beverage tables. Meal hours will be from 8 am to 9 pm and the canton reserves the right to review and revoke approval of applications. Payment of the license application has been waived. The canton has resumed collecting outdoor cardboard in the recycling bin on normal recycling days.
