Dozens of easyJet passengers were forced to remain quarantined for 14 days after being housed in a hotel in Spain when their flight from Gibraltar was delayed.
Passengers may have simply moved away from quarantine if the flight had departed as planned, as the British Overseas Territory is on the UK’s ‘safety list’.
But due to bad weather, their Flight on Monday was postponed and they needed overnight accommodation.
But all the hotel rooms in Gibraltar were full, so they had to locate their own hotel room, fend for themselves or settle for the offer of the hotel hotel airline in Spain.

Passengers who did not yet have a selection to settle for the airline’s offer were forced to cross the Spanish border on their own, a hot spot of the coronavirus.
This meant that they would be forced to remain quarantined for two weeks when, despite everything, they returned to the UK yesterday.
