E.e.i. opened a new COVID-19 without an appointment in Charlottetown.
The clinic opened at the Eastlink Center on Monday and is available for tests without an appointment.
“We’ve heard the public worry about having to wait for appointments and, knowing that the school will be in session, we want to be smart for testing,” said Dr. Heather Morrison, Chief Public Health Administrator, on her normal weekly schedule. Class. briefing on Tuesday.
The province’s ability to engage the pandemic is similar to its ability to test, trip and isolate instances on an early level and seek contacts, Morrison said.
Lately it is reserved for a must-have staff and their families. E.E.I. Head of health nurse Marion Dowling said the service will be extended to the general public.
“[We] make sure we’ve solved the disorders and that the procedure runs smoothly so that we can improve access,” Dowling said.
Morrison hopes that until September, this option will be available to families, so if a parent is called to pick up a child with symptoms at school or day care, they can go straight to that clinic on the way home.
Dowling stated that lately the province is looking for a new site for the Charlottetown Detection Clinic and that P.E.I. Lately, health is adapting to health. you’ll also want to make sure that systems move smoothly in the new site.
