Dynamic H3: Adaptation to COVID-19

When Taras Wankewycz, founder and CEO of H3 Dynamics, introduced the company five years ago, he saw a host of programs for DBX, an independent implementation platform for the bureaucracy of floor robots and drones. These shelter systems can simply be installed on remote commercial sites, even on building roofs in megacities, so that local scanning robots can become the eyes and ears of qualified engineers, which can be located in other parts of the world. This vision turned out to be correct when COVID-19 radically replaced the way the global deserves to work.

As the foreigner becomes almost impossible, qualified engineers cannot seamlessly deploy to remote sites for qualified inspections of sites such as dams, solar farms, water tanks, or other types of structures. With its H3 Zoom cloud-based inspection facilities platform, H3 Dynamics allowed experts to review the effects of an inspection conducted through a built-in device learning workflow, without having to move to the actual site.

H3 Dynamics has created a virtual platform that takes unstructured knowledge and produces out-of-the-box reports.

This virtual installation platform can be connected to various bureaucratic devices of knowledge acquisition, cameras, in cell phones, constants at constant poles, and now also cellular robots that can be implemented in the field.

To automate knowledge collection by using cellular robots, the company has designed physically powerful shelter systems that can connect to the Internet and recharge the batteries of third-party drones or floor robots. These base stations end the knowledge gathered through robots on the H3 Dynamic virtual installation platform. There, through synthetic intelligence (AI) and cloud device learning processing, knowledge of the physical world becomes useful data for the end user to trigger mandatory actions.

The company provides its consumers with valuable effects resulting from autonomous processing and acquisition of knowledge as an end-to-end solution.

H3 Dynamics’ first virtual solution with demanding security situations in the surrounding area built in smart cities and focuses on genuine commercial/residential properties.

“Being founded in Singapore, we are surrounded by constructions that make genuine properties a first logical access point, our first use case aimed at accelerating inspections of construction facades in Asian megacities,” Taras said. “Even though Singapore is a fashionable city, its built environment is aging. After the expansion of the fall reports of elements of high-construction facades, a law for facade controls was recently passed in all buildings in Singapore. This has resulted in a real need in this area. But this is not a Singapore challenge. This is a global challenge as more and more megacities emerge.”

Manual inspections: long, error-prone, paper-based and costly

The challenge with construction facade inspections is that it is a long, manual and costly process. And that relates to demanding situations.

“It usually takes up to 8 weeks and costs tens of thousands of dollars to inspect a building,” Taras said. “Manual inspection is harmful and prone to human error that can lead to incidents when defects are overlooked. The procedure is also paper-based, which affects the ability to track defects and maintenance over time.”

H3 Dynamics considered that this challenge needed to be addressed because the manual and paper inspection approach to construction facades is not scalable and is not enough to satisfy the wishes of Asian megacities. There are also no simple tactics for measuring the status of buildings over time without having a virtual starting point.

Automated inspections and monitoring: safer, faster and cheaper

With a virtual flaw mapping solution in intelligent cloud procedures, as well as drones or autonomous robots used as scanners, the total procedure becomes safer, faster, bigger and cheaper.

The four to 8 week inspection procedure can be condensed in a few hours, reducing operating time by 97%. Reducing the size and redirecting valuable resources to high value-added industries generates productivity gains of more than 70%. The solution also identifies 20% more defects than the human procedure. And a virtual history of all buildings inspected using this procedure simplifies defect tracking and repairs.

“To make undeniable and intuitive use for users, we have other interfaces for other parts of the price chain. Certified professional engineers, for example, can validate and approve the effects of our AI solution. Meanwhile, home portfolio owners can visualize the progress of inspections, as well as high-level data, the effects of various structures,” Taras said.

“We are implementing this in Singapore right now. Some of our top clients come with JTC Corporation, a state-owned asset developer and manager; Housing Development Board, a government company guilty of public housing; And SMRT, the local rail transport system. To date, more than three hundred buildings have been inspected. This represents more than 1 four TB of knowledge collected and four million images validated.”

H3 Dynamics DBX is now from the SAP Asset Intelligence Network.

“With SAP, we’ve created a seamless connection between known defects and SAP-compatible consumers,” Taras said. “This allows SAP consumers to automate paint orders for repairs, track the prestige of paint orders, and generate reports that can be shared with subcontractors to gain a unified view of disruptions and resolutions.”

Taras added: “H3 Dynamics is delighted that service control companies, government agencies and many others achieve operational excellence and security, with SAP.

Autonomous robotics and actionable intelligence play a major role in achieving more effective, effective and secure critical operations. They are important for organizations looking to optimize their assets, either humanly or in terms of infrastructure.

For us, buildings are just the beginning. Exposure to SAP technologies and opportunities to collaborate with SAP consumers will enable us to expand the smartest usage instances across industries. We look forward to running with SAP to make businesses work smarter. »

Enthusiasm goes both ways. In SAP.iO, our task is to identify cutting-edge new companies that can make a difference and replace the world. We are pleased that H3 Dynamics is a component of our program.
