Dutch boss Louis Van Gaal angry at critics after dominating the group

CLEAR

Al Khor, Qatar – Netherlands coach Louis Van Gaal met with Dutch reporters after saying Orange Machine’s 2-0 World Cup win over Qatar was too boring, even as it secured the team’s most sensible spot in Group A.

“We move on to the next phase, the maximum component of the tournament, with positivity. We did what we had to do. We are the winners of the group,” Van Gaal told a news conference.

While a reporter later criticized the Netherlands’ performance against humble Qatar, betting on its first World Cup only as host of the tournament, the former Manchester United and Barcelona manager hit back.
