DuPont Group receives the Luxembourg-American Business Award

On Wednesday, November 9, 2022, the third day of the race to the United States, the Luxembourg delegation led by His Royal Highness the Hereditary Grand Duke and led jointly by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health of Luxembourg, Paulette Lenert, and the Minister of Economy, Franz Fayot, arrives in New York.

On this day, a convention organized through the Luxembourg Private Equity Association (LPEA) was positioned as the rite of delivery of the Luxembourg-American Commercial Award 2022.

At the beginning of the day, Minister Fayot delivered the opening speech of the convention organized through the LPEA which aimed, on the one hand, to promote Luxembourg as a leading monetary establishment in the investment budget table and, on the other hand, to highlight the many opportunities for corporations to increase the budget in Luxembourg. The occasion was attended by about 70 participants.

At the end of the event, the delegation went to Luxembourg House, where the offices of the Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office in New York are located, where Michel Franck, President of the American Chamber of Commerce of Luxembourg (LACC) and Toni Dudsak, Executive Director of the LACC, welcomed them. They won an honorary difference from His Royal Highness the Hereditary Grand Duke and the Minister of Economy, respectively, for their long-standing determination to sell the Grand Duchy in the United States and strengthen ties between the two countries.

At the same time, Minister Lenert visited Memorial Sloan Kettering, a world leader in patient care of all ages, studies and school programs. The center, founded in 1884, is at the forefront of the fight against cancer and identified as one of the most reputable centers in the world.

A fitness delegation also welcomed the New York Genome Center, an independent, nonprofit educational studies facility that serves as a multi-establishment center for collaborative genomics studies.

At the end of the day, His Royal Highness the Hereditary Grand Duke and Ministers Lenert and Fayot finalized the tenth Luxembourg corporate awards rite at a gala evening in New York, hosted by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and the Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office in New York.

For this 2022 edition, the award given to the DuPont group, present in Luxembourg since 1962 and which recently invested in its Contern site to expand its Tyvek production line, this thermally insulated curtain used in protective clothing for healthcare professionals evolved through DuPont.
