The Russian Defense Ministry said that “Russian air defense intercepted” 3 Ukrainian drones over the territory of the Rostov, Tula and Kaluga regions.
The corresponding message appeared in the ministry’s telegram on the morning of January 11, focus. ua reports.
The attacking country’s Defense Ministry said air defense forces were activated around 4:30 a. m. Moscow time.
“Three Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted by the air defense forces that were on duty in the territory of the Rostov, Tula and Kaluga regions,” they said.
Drone attack: Rostov region
Earlier, the incident was reported through the governor of the Rostov region of the Russian Federation, Vasily Golubev. He wrote on his Telegram account that two drones were shot down over the territory of the Kamensk district.
“Two aircraft-type UAVs were shot down tonight by air defence forces over the territory of Kamensk district of Rostov region. There are no casualties as a result of falling debris. The consequences on the ground are specified,” Golubev wrote.
UAV Attack: Kaluga Region
Additionally, the governor of the Kaluga region of the Russian Federation, Vladislav Shapsha, reported that a drone had exploded on the outskirts of Kaluga. The drone exploded in the technical design of the pumping station, the building.
