Dr. Anthony Fauci is likely to provide the latest information on Covid as the most sensible White House health official.

Dr. Anthony Fauci will give what is expected to be his last public briefing on the Covid-19 pandemic on Tuesday as a leading White House adviser.

Fauci announced earlier this year that he would step down in December after being the public face of the reaction to the coronavirus pandemic in the United States for more than two years.

He will provide an update along with Dr. Ashish Jha, head of the White House Covid Task Force. They are expected to inspire others to get their Covid boosters and flu shots as soon as possible.

Public fitness officials have continually warned that the US will likely face another wave of covid this winter when other people gather for the holidays.

The United States is already facing a severe flu season, with hospitalizations at their highest point in a decade.

And the breathing of the syncytial virus, or RSV, is hospitalizing young people at a much higher rate than in pre-pandemic seasons.

Hospitals and emergency departments are increasingly burdened by others seeking remedy for respiratory illnesses.

Last week, children’s hospitals asked Biden’s management to call for a public health emergency to provide more flexibility in handling the influx of patients.
